Hi and thank you for this excellent forum.

I am from Sweden and have always liked smoked meat and fish. For several years I have thought about getting a smoker. I have no earlier experience so it was hard to figure out what I wanted. After a couple of weeks googling I found out that you americans have all kind of smokers and looks more like a lifestyle than something you just start up at a party :) For a while I was going in the Bradley Smoker since it looked great for a beginner but after reading some of all projects I thought i would give it a try myself. I am going to build a "reverse flow vertical cabinet", like the Backwood.

So wish me best of luck ;)

Welcome Stefan!!

From Southeast Pennsylvania.

Good luck on your build----You can get a lot of "Build" help on this forum.

I'll wait until you have it built, and help you get some smokes started.

Welcome Stefan! In at the deepend then!

Don't worry ask plenty of questions and get the "experts" to check all calculations on fire box size etc.

Will be watching your build, as I will be starting one soon.

It really feels like a friendly forum from what I´ve seen. May I ask what you mean by "QVIEW"?

Thanks for clearing that up :)

I have started a build and it can be found in my signature. Tomorrow I will start cutting all the sheet metal. I´m really looking forward to this :)
