Hi everyone! I was googling a few tips on smoking my first boston butt today and found the sweet sticky 'basic pulled pork' here.  Well needless to say, I had 6 people over and had delicious pulled pork ready just in time!

I am a 26 year old engineer works for a large private utility company delivering power 24/7!  I bought a house three years ago which began my quest in all things great i.e. yard work, working on my car, plenty of gun shooting, and of course, preparing delicious meat!  My girlfriend bought me a Char-Griller 1515 Patio Pro which I love. She also gave me a Master Forge dome smoker from Lowes which I finally used today for the first time making the boston butt.  It was delicious and now I want to do more! I also have a huge Brinkmann propane grill that was donated to me which I only use for very large parties.

I also love deer hunting and completely processed my first deer this past fall. I have a grinder/stuffer and dehydrator which I want to use to do everything imaginable with pork, venison, and anything else I decide to toss in! I will be looking to make my own sausage soon.  I know this is a lot of info, but I am excited to make this my one stop shop for meat preparation!

Thanks to all for my warm welcome.  I'm actually about to attempt to trap some wild hogs at my dad's place, so I may be doing some research here soon about their preparation and consumption!

Thanks! Just noticed you have one of the Char-griller Kamado smokers.  I saw one of these a few days ago and instantly stopped and wanted it.  I had to walk away! How do you like it?  I am no expert, but I have been very please with how much bang for the buck I have gotten with Char Griller.
