Hi everyone! I just got an Old Smokey electric smoker and tomorrow is going to be my first butt for pulled pork. Wish me luck!

Welcome to SMF! I'm sure you'll do fine if you've got questions just ask away. Butts are notoriously forgiving and are great for learning a new smoker.

Welcome to the SMF my friend. Good luck on your butt.

Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you aboard.

Best piece of advice I could give you is listen to professor Ol' Smokey above. You would hate to have a beverage emergency!

Welcome Rad...good choice for a first smoke. I'm sure it will just be the tip of the iceberg for ya'.

Thanks guys! I wanted to start out with something simple and did not require a lot of babysitting so I think the Old Smokey was a good choice. Everything looks and smells good so far!
