Greetings everyone, I just found this web forum while I was looking for information about little chief smokers. Then after pondering through I found that there was a lot of information that was very useful on upcoming cooks. This year I'll be turning 45 and I have but one person to thank and that is my grandfather. When I was just knee high to a grasshopper. I can remember going out in the garage and seeing that little chief smoking away and ever since then I've always wanted one of my own and to this day I somehow managed to own 3 smokers. Today I took my grandfather is old little chief and brought it up to the 2014 specs of having a hot plate instead of that underpowered 250 watt element. I think he would be tickled to see that thing running now. Thank you and keep up the good work on the forum. Best regards Tim.

Welcome Timbo, from another Oregonian! For jerky, fish and sausage you can't go wrong with the tried and true Lure Jenson Chief smokers! Bet many here don't know that a fishing lure company built that smoker way back when!
