Hey Paul, first off welcome to the site. If you need assistance you came to the right place. The people here are phenominal. They love to share what they know. If you are new to the chargriller smoker with SFB you may want to visit some of the mods threads. I think one is a sticky in the charcoal smoker section. It really does help to do some of the minors tweaks they describe.

Dont forget about the free 5 day e-course offered. It really has alot of good basic info. I think there is a link for a e-book format.

Have fun and keep on smokin.

Welcome to the forum Paul. You definitely stumbled onto a fine resource to eleveate your smoking experience!

Welcome to SMF Paul. This really is a great site to learn from. Be sure to sign up for the 5-day ecourse offered by Jeff, located on the left side of the screen.

There are so many threads and posts about the Chargriller and temp control. Run some various searches and you will soon see the modifications that are made to control the temps and make it more fuel efficient.

Looking forward to your posts and don't forget to bring us the Q-view of your food.

Welcome Paul from Central Missouri- 2 hours North.
As many have already said, you can't go wrong with the e-course and any question you have probably has been answered before. Do a little research (which answers most questions and creates others) and ask. The folks here at SMF are always glad to help. They only ask for Q-view and to pass your knowledge onto others.
Look forward to seeing your posts.
