Been smoking with an old charcoal Brinkmann Smoke n Grill for the last 18 yrs and having a blast with good success. I've been looking to make the jump to a horizontal smoker for the past year or 2. Did lots of research, looked at websites, visited some stores and agonized over the prices for crap and the prices for dreamboats. Then my prayers were answered! While bumbling around Craigs List... a Charbroil Silver Smoker pops up!? A car ride and $35 bucks later, I'm the new proud owner. I have downloaded and made notes on all the modifications I could find. If anyone has updated info on mods for this unit don't be shy, please share. My sister's boyfriend is a fulltime metalsmith w/ his own shop so, let the bending, grinding, skined knuckles, cutting, beer drinking and re-birth of a new smoker begin!
Glad I found this website!
