I hope that this is the right spot to introduce my self to everyone.

I am 69 years old, live in Central California and have been grilling all of my life.  As a kid, my family loved to "bar-b-que" and we used an old Weber Kettle drum pretty much from the time they were first introduced.  I worked as a chef while in college and have always loved to entertain and feed people!

I'm retired from the financial industry and owned my own company until I hung up the working world.

A number of years ago I got really serious about "Q" and built an outdoor kitchen in my backyard.  Currently I have a 42" Alfresco grill converted to natural gas and a Grand Hall smoker also converted.  The smoker is a cabinet style that I got 6-7 years ago from Costco.  It is a vertical water style smoker and I normally use hickory or mesquite wood chips.

Both my grill and smoker work like champs!

My #1 bucket list thing is to roast or smoke a hole pig!!

Welcome, Blumax.  Once my kids are out of school, I am contemplating moving out to California's central coast.  Santa Maria to be exact.  I was out there for work a few times in San Luis Obispo and fell in love with it!  I am growing weary of Wisconsin winters.

Wecome to the forum, sir.
