Thought I would introduce myself to the forum. Just married 7 months ago and my wife surprised me with a Char-Broil smoker with off-set fire box for our first Christmas. I think she picked up on my love for BBQ on a trip through Missouri last fall. Eating it is the extent of my experience, so I am very much a rookie. The snow has finally melted and the weather decent enough to assemble it this weekend and I'm anxious to get started. Looking forward to taking advantage of everyone's experience to turn out some tasty BBQ of my own. Any advice for a rookie is appreciated, including a good cooking project to start with. Go Pack!
