Hi all, name is Kit, I have been wanting to build a smoker for a while, someone on another forum built a mean RFS at the same time I found two stainless steel barrels on CL. So now I am planning my first build. I have a bit of engineering background (different major now) so I will be making my smoker in a  program called Autodesk Inventor first ( I will post here) and see what you guys have to say!

Thanks guys, I am working on the funds to start building and I will be starting a build thread soon when I take pictures of my barrels. They are very heavy duty stainless steel 55gal barrels. Going to do a hybrid reverse flow with the pipe from the fire box coming into the middle bottom of each barrel and having the baffle open at both end to have the smoke come up more evenly, and as such the stack will be center mounted instead of end mounted.

Hi Kit...good luck on your build.

What you will need to do is change the settings for SMF to Mobile if you are going to use your cell or an IPad.  Will be easier.  Go to SMF's Home page...scroll down to the bottom and click on mobile. http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/

Here is a link explaining the "how to's" on q-views.
