New here from Southeast Wisconsin.
I stumbled across this forum while searching for info on building a PID for a lead melting pot used in casting lead bullets. Turns out that the PID's used in meat smokers are the same as PID's used in lead melting pots are the same, just the temperatures being controlled are different. I never thought about building a PID for my smoker but now it sounds like a pretty good idea.
Anyhow, I've been smoking meats for quite a while, lately with a Master built electric smoker. Mostly Fish, hams, Turkey and venison sausage.
