New here from Kansas. I'm 30 years old and have a beautiful wife and two kids ages 6 and 11. Ive been smoking foods for approx 6 years now, I have been using a Chargriller with a side firebox and some mods but last week my wife won a Traeger Lil Texas Elite so I'm gonna start using that this weekend. I smoked a brisket with it last weekend and it turned out OK, but it turened out pretty dry so its gonna take some practice to get it right. Hope to learn alot of good info here on this forum.

Nice score on the Traeger. My folks live in Salina and have had a couple of traegers they love and that i've spent a few hours behind. I've never worked with the Lil Tex Elite, but it looks like a nice one. I have a nice BBQ shop that I go to in Denver that sells all kinds of different pellets for Traegers. I don't know what kind of wood pellet selection you have where you're at, but shoot me a message if you ever want to do an exchange or have me drop some bags off for you. They probably have close to a dozen different woods and a few wood mixes in their pellet section. I drive back to Salina a few times a year, usually over holidays. Good to have ya in the forum.
