Hello Folks,

Glad to have found this forum.  I've looked at many and this seems to be a place for the same type of interaction/sharing that the homebrew forum that I participate in is as well.  I love cooking, grew up in LA (that's Louisiana) and have been cooking for along time.  The wife and I love to cook, although she's a "I like this don't change it" and I'm a "this is good let's see what happens when we do this" type.  I mean if its good,  you never know if its gonna be real good unless you tweak it.  Anyway, I've been "smoking" meats for a long while, but have really gotten into learning how to use different techniques to do create all kinds of food.  Glad to be here, I'll be asking lots of questions and hopefully posting some stuff to critique.

Thanks for the note Gary.  Spent last week in the Crockett National Forest. That was nice and cool/cold.  Thanks for the welcome.

Welcome to the site SB.  Sounds like you'll fit in just fine round here.  Post up some pic's of your cooking experiments and smokes.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
David
