Hello All,

My name is Nate Francis and from Owensboro, Kentucky.  I would label myself as a novice/beginner smoker but have a willingness to learn this special craft.  Upon my research and desire to build something out of boredom and to keep myself entertained, I stumbled across something that is relatively cheap as well as fun to build, a UDS (ugly drum smoker).  Like I said, I read pretty much every post regarding the fabrication of a UDS, read the do's and don'ts of a UDS, and now have begun my very own.

Thanks to this site I have learned a lot from many will continue to grow into what I call now my new favorite hobby

Hi Nate...welcome to the forums!  You've found the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks here who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.
