Hi guys my name is Wilkins but yall can call me will. I live down in Vineland NJ. Im married and have my 1st son thats almost 2 and is my life. I have a big back yard that I hate to cut grSs cause dont have nothing nack there. So the famly went out the other week to walmart and went crazy. My wife wanted to look for a chest freezer there which we found, but also found a nice patio set on sale for only $100. She said well since baby was born we never bought anything for us so lets try for walmart card & get them both. Well I after we both got approved I my brain went a smoking and said well since r getting the freezer we can by more meat and freeze & whats the point of getting the patio set if we threw out our grill a couple years ago. So we should just get a new grill while we at it. My plan worked she said what the he!! Might as well go all in. my eyes lit up and I mad a b line right to the grills. My parants always had gas grills which I hated. And the 1 used to have was an old gas grill that we never really used. I knew wanted a barrel type charcoal grill. So I found the Char-Broiler American Gourmet Deluxe and had to have it. I figured it was good since most other barrel grills u have to buy the smokers seperatly. I did a quick search on my phone and the 1st few links sent me to this forum. And ive been lurking ever since.

Geesh sorry about the long post I tend to ramble.

Hey mo thanxs for the link.
I have read most of that post b4 signing up actualy. My idea so far is to get a new thermometer to put in the lid like u did. Buy 1 of those bbq grilling woks for $10 to use as my charcoal box, & the dryer vent for the smoke stack. I figured I would mess around with the charcoal grate & flip that in the cooking chamber and see how that works for starters.
