New guy here from Central Texas

  1. Howdy to all, new to the forum and smoking meat. Purchased a Traeger Texas pellet grill recently, learning how to use it, I am hoping I will get some good info here and help when I get a little more familiar with it. Mostly done ribs and steaks and pork chops, putting my first brisket on for an overnight smoking in about 15 min, hoping that it turns out well, let you know tomorrow eve.

    Welcome to SMF refugee!  Glad you're here.  There are lots of folks with your smoker so any questions you'll have will find answers.  Be sure to take some pics of that brisket.  We love pics.  We call them Q-views.

    About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
    and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
    We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
    Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
    because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
