Hey y'all

I've always wanted to buy a smoker and every year around this time I threaten to buy one and never do.  But that all changed when I found your site!!!  After an hour or so of going through the posts I ordered a Masterbuilt 30" Electric Smoker with Meat Probe, Jeff's book and his recipes.  Now I'm freaking out waiting for my new smoker to show up at my house (I only ordered it yesterday)!

Thanks, in advance, for everyone's help!

Gregg

Welcome G, use to live in Woodbridge and then in Willingboro. Now back in PA. Have a great time with the masterbuilt.  Don't stuff or overload the wood chip chamber, I have found when I thought the more the better, it caught fire in the drop tray which is directly above the heating element.

No.... not a Fire Dept Fire, !!! Just that the chips are suppose to smolder... and smoke,

less is better in the beginning until you get a handle on it and get use to using the unit. With mine, I ran it for at least 2 hours with no food, took the temp to about 300*  and filled with some chips and let the mother smoke, and refilled the feed chamber every 20  - 30 mins to get it seasoned.

There's no turning back now!!! LOL...

Check out also the A-Maze-N pellet smoker tray which is awsome for the Masterbuilt for a controlled long steady smoke,

Hey guys, thanks for the warm welcome!!!!!

After reading more posts I ordered the A-Maze-N pellet smoker tray this morning along with 4 types of pellets.  It's like waiting for Christmas with all of this stuff on order!
