Hello everyone, my name is Chad and I live in NE Pennsylvania.
I found this forum while doing some reading about the Oklahoma Joe's Highland grill/smoker. I'm contemplating purchasing one and found a thread from here about it on Bing.
I grew up around all of this stuff but never had the space or opportunity to do it myself. So I'm pretty new to the whole thing. Heck, I've never even cooked with charcoal. I've always been intimidated by it due to the fact that I don't know when you're allowed to cook with it and when not to. Plus the fact that I don't know how to regulate the temperature.
But it's about high time that I learn.
Please, if anyone has any questions for me, don't hesitate to ask. I would also appreciate any info or tips on certain accessories that I should buy, i.e. chimney, etc... to make life easier and the food taste better.
I have read about the Highland and how to upgrade it to help it be more efficient.
As for me, you won't hear much from me because I'll be doing more reading than talking due to my limited knowledge.
Chad
