A work friend told me about this site after we had a 45 minute conversation about my lunch (a rack of spare ribs i had smoked the night before), I must say i am impressed. I am still new to the world of smoking and have a lot to learn but really enjoy it. I am looking forward to trying new things and getting tips from everyone to improve my skill.

Hello and Welcome to SMF. Sounds like you are off to a good start with the ribs.

Thanks for all the greetings, I am thinking of trying to make some bacon wrapped chicken breasts today and try my first fatty's. It is 7* here today before the wind chill and well into the negative numbers with it so i plan on using a lot of charcoal but it should still be a good day.

I'm always curious where the Mich. folks are . I'm in between Mattawan and Paw Paw ( about mile 64 on I-94 ) . I see you're kind of by Williamston . Were / are you familiar with the Sheik ? You will really enjoy this forum . I have told a few people about it also . I told the meatman from the local market about it (good guy to be friends with ! ) I saw him a couple days later and he said he spent about 3 hours on the site the night I told him about it . He was researching what smoker to buy . Welcome to the forum .
