Hello everyone,i have wanted to learn the art of smoking meat for a while now,but like many ,time is limited.Just finishing up with Deer season here in Finger Lakes area of N.Y.and decided it's now or never.I do my own processing so going to try and do my own smoking. I just received a new present from my wife which is a two door Masterbuilt Propane Smoker,so now I want  to learn how to use it and by who better than those who know how to use them :-) .I have been cruising the site and so much useful info here, going to put a lot of the tips to use.Going to get Rub recipes, but first check out the new smoker probably with a couple of Venison roasts (apple wood ? or any suggestions?) and see how it goes.Happy New Year and Happy Smoking, LT

One of my guys is on vacation. I'll be filling in driving to turning stone mon-fri. Don't forget to get us some pics of those ribs.

Sorry for the late post, every thing turned out great for first smoke, didn't get a chance for pics as too much was going on at the time.Ihave to figure out my start time a little better so every thing is done about the same time.It created a little friction with the wife this time but not bad,.If timing items was right it would have been a perfect dinner.I was a little nervous this time and i kept checking things maybe to much and it cost me some cook time. But every one was happy at the end and that is all that matters.
