This is a great forum. I am building my first smoker and have enjoyed reading posts for some terrific advise. I am a heavy equipment mechanic with a good bit of fab experience. We have a really big family and cookout a lot ,I decided it was time to get into smoking instead manning 3 grills.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from chilly, ice melting day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Good evening from a fellow GA member, I'm up in the Dahlonega area.  Welcome to the forum, the search bar will yield you many of the answers to questions you will have.  Good luck, friend and get ready for that snow tomorrow.

Thanks. I'm as ready I get. I'm in the canton area seems we are always borderline. Yall be careful up there.

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.

I like watching smoker builds,  How big and what type are you going with ?

Thanks themule69 . Gary s , I'm building a 120 air tank. I have a thread started in reverse flow. Hopefully I'll get a good start on it tomorrow and get some pics up. I'm using a 80 gal tank for part of the firebox and the warmer. I'm probably making it harder but luckily I like to work.

Use what you have, nothing wrong with that. The RF I use was built with stuff we had laying around, only thing we bought was the expanded metal.
