Well me and the boys decided to build a Gas cabinet smoker. Should finish most of it today. All except for maybe some roofing material and a couple metal pieces I need to fab up. Here are some progress pictures.

Ok we didn't get as much done as much as we wanted to....but that's always how it goes. Tomorrow we will do the roof and the doors get the block ready for it to set on and run the propane line. Maybe cut some dowels for hangin sausage. That will be this smokers main purpose. Well that and cheese.

I can't wait till early next year to actually build my own metal smoker. Just couldn't wing it this time. And I got a lot of meat to process for me and all the family after hunting season this year. This should come in handy right away. for you propane guys how long of smoke do you get off of a 5 gallon barrel. I know there is going to be a lot of variables but just a rough estimate would be great.

thanks for lookin
