Hey guys, just started my first build and found a ton of info here. You guys really know your stuff. Looking forward to getting some help and smoking some meat!

Welcome aboard.  Where in Washington do you call home?  There's quite a few Pacific Northwest smokers hanging around on this site and there's always room for one more.  They'll be popping in and saying Hey.

Don't tell anyone else, but you got any secrets for smoking salmon?  Always on the outlook for adding to the repertoire

Welcome to SMF glad you decided to join us. Good luck with that build and take lots of pics for us. Have fun and may all your smoke be thin and blue.

Welcome to the SMF. Glad to have you here. Lots of good folks, great recipes and knowledge. Looking forward to your first qview.

First off welcome Popcan to SMF. You'll like it here for there alot of good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Nowthere is alot of really good things to learn from us here like recipes and some really tested methods that we have been using for years. Now if you are really new to the whole smoking thing I would suggest the 5-day E-course and here's a link:

http://www.smokingmeatforums.com/forum/list/127

It's free and very informative to new members. It will give you the basics on smoking and food prep. Now the next thing you need to do is go get something to smoke and if you have any questions just post it here or go into Chat and we will be more then willing to help you out. Now Go get something to smoke.

So Welcome To Your New Addiction

No kidding! I love it here! Also, I have an entire freezer of salmon and we kill a elk or two a year for pepperoni and SS. I cant wait!

Popcan33, Welcomf to SMF... You don't live far from me at all. I'm in tacoma near Point Defiance park. I used to be a hardcore boater and spent many weekends sleeping on my Bayliner 245 moored at Arabella's in the harbor. I still make it to the Tides Tavern from time to time. They have great food even if nothings smoked. :-)

We will have to get a beer at the tides and talk about the smoker build. I am sure you know alot more than I do!
