Hi
I am new to the world of BBQ and I have a large big green egg and I need a lot of help on low and slow.
I cant quite understand how to cook for 4 to 8 or more hours without the meat getting dry.

Any help would be great.
 
welcome to the smf!! I've never cooked on the green egg but heard they are very good holding heat, etc. low and slow really produces excellant product, it may take a little practice but with the help on here you will do very well. just ask questions and someone will try to help you. again welcome!

First off welcome Ianrg to SMF. You'll like it here cause there are abunch of good folks here that would just love to help you out with just about anything to do with smoking. We really like to have newbies here because they can bring in a new propective to how things are done. There's nothing like a new set of eyes to give and new way to make things that little differant to make things alittle better. So I hope you know about the Qview here.

It's also free and it will give you the basics of smoking. So after all of that you just need to go grab something to smoke and if you have any question just post them here and we will answer it quickly so you don't have any mishaps with your smoke.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

I was in the same position a while back. I found this site about a year ago and just read and read and then read some more. I recently joined the site to be able to post questions and help in any way I can.

Big thing is to ask questions. The more details, the better the answers, is what I have noticed over time. Oh, and pictures. LOTS of pictures...
