Hi all! New here from SD. I am looking forward to the help and ideas that I'm sure will come. I have done some smoking and sausage making over the last couple of years, but really just an amateur. My equipment list is below.

Welcome to SMF. Glad to have you with us on this lovely adventure.

Welcome, and show us some qview.

Welcome to the site. Haven't been here too long myself, but there is a wealth of information here.

I was up in your neck of the woods a couple of weeks ago over Thanksgiving. The girlfriend's folks have a cabin down by the Fort Randall Dam, not too far from Wagner. I've been going up there every Thanksgiving for the past few years to get some hunting in and spend some time with her family. You gotta love the pheasant hunting around there. I've limited out on multiple days. Didn't do any this year though, but I filled a west river doe tag my girl bought for me as a surprise. Dropped a young button buck in the campground near the dam, if you're familiar with the area. Didn't even realize it was a buck until I was midway through the field dress... Got it on Thanksgiving day, right as we were walking out for the feast. Luckily, we were really close to a roadway, so the drag was a breeze. Can't wait to smoke up some of the venison roasts that I have sitting in the freezer! Post any game recipes you like to use. I know there are a lot of people on the forum that would love to try em out.

Took me a while but it finally clicked. Rooster Hunter. Sometimes I'm a little slow.

Had one of those babys go thru the windshield of my v65 sabre. Broke my collar bone and smacked up the bike pretty good. Enough so that the insurance check bought me a brand gnu one.

Welcome aboard S. Dakota, you have come to the right place. I'm your neighbor to the East, Minnesota. Look forward to seeing some of your Q's and input to the forums. Snow is on the way today, big time, you getting any?

Thanks all. It is snowing here today and cold so expect a shot of snow out east. Went hunting last Sat and did OK we were 4 short on a party of 7 but had some bad shooters and the pheasants were fairly wild already. Not the 30 birds in 30 minutes we had earlier this year.

Welcome aboard! I was south of Ipswich a few weeks ago and the birds were tough to kick out of all the standing corn...but they told us that before we went.
