New from Sacramento

    Hi, my name is Aaron and I grill alot but am a total newbie to smoking. I just got a Masterbuilt Pro 2 door propane and am ready to get started. This forum seems to have lots of great info and I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can.

    Thanks Gary, I'm from Tyler originally and most of my family is still there.  They are not smokers though....

    Another hearty SMF welcome Aaron!!!!  Ray in Roseville here.  Relative newbie too.  SMF is GREAT for ideas and encouragement.  Let us know as soon as you self-baptize in a cloud of meat-enhancing smoke on your new smoker!

    Ok, my fist pork shoulder turned out pretty good. 7lb, smoked four hours and cooked at 220 for 11 hours. Turned out pretty good. The bark is my favorite part and my wife likes the the soft meet, a perfect match.[​IMG]
