Hi everyone,

My parents got me a Masterbuilt 20070411 smoker for Christmas. I have been wanting a smoker for a while now, so this was a great gift for me. I am new to smoking and so far have done a 13 lb. turkey. I turned out great, but it got done several hours sooner than I expected, I am not sure what's up with that. I estimate the cooking time based on the minutes/pound from multiple websites that all agreed. Anyways Baby backed pork ribs are next up. Then probably some tri-tips.

Looking forward to the great information and adivise that can be found here!

First off welcome to SMF. You'll really like this place for there are a bunch of really good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking meat. Then if you have any questions you just post them here or yu can try in chat for a faster answer. If you are really new to all of this I would recommend that you look up and take the e-course. It is free and it will also give you the basics on smoking. So with all that said now go and get something to smoke.

Second - WHERE IN THE HECK IS RESCUE?  Apparently some of us Californians know where you but I haven't a clue.

Happy New Year!

Curt.
