My name is Chad Treadaway and I am new to smoking.My neighbor is a competition smoker and he sparked my interest. I am starting with a gas two door masterbuilt smoker.Almost finished with mods to the smoker.Just received my seal for the door leak issue and have already upgraded chip pan with cast iron skillet. Does anyone have any advice on using sand instead of water? My neighbor and all his top competition friends recomend it and I had never heard of anyone else doing it.
