I have never owned a smoker but fixing to purchase my first offset smoker. I was stuck between the brinkmann trailmaster le and the old country ranch hand. I think I have settled on the old country ranch hand for 299 at academy sports. The box is welded and it looks like it is built a lot better than others at its price. Any advise will help. Thanks.

Welcome to the SMF Family...I don't have either one but can tell from others descriptions the Old Country is the better choice...JJ

Hello and welcome from East Texas. This is a great site, lots of information and great people that are willing to throw in their two cents worth on about anything.

Thanks, I have always loved smoked foods and always been interested in how it's done. It's nice to have a forum full of people for help.
