Hello all, I am just in the process of building my first PID controlled electric smoker from scavenged parts and a couple of Brinkman charcoal smokers stacked on top of each other.  I found this site had helpful information on the MYPIN PID I purchased.  I'm tired of making sub par deer sausage due to not being able to control the temperature the way I want it, so being an engineer, I though maybe I could "engineer" a solution.  That's where I'm at at the moment. My next challenge will be to see how much insulation I need to add to make the thing work outside in our winters up here.
