Hello all, I am obviously new and from the Mitten state. As of now I have a Masterbuilt electric smoker, a Traeger pellet smoker, portable kitchen cast aluminum charcoal grill, and an old gas oven. Been lurking for a while and just want to learn how to make better barbecue like I used to eat in the South. I am looking forward to the ever changing learning curve. Hopefully everybody is staying warm and eating well.

Good evening and welcome to the forum, from a cloudy and chilly day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Welcome from SC. This is a really great site and I know you will enjoy it here. Like DB said, your lurking days are over. You're right, southern BBQ is great. Unfortunately, we went global with it and now everybody is cooking it. But, that's the wonderful thing about this site. There are some really good folks who will share everything.

Good luck and keep on smokin', and remember, we like to see pics of your cooks, Joe.
