What's going on! I've been a smoke fanatic since my step-father introduced me over ten years ago.. He's always made perfect Que and every time I try a new BBQ joint, i realize it even more. I've read the forums quite a bit and finally got myself a smoker, based on all the advice given! I've hardly ever had good Que in the greater Washington, DC area.. and hope to start making my own all the time!

I'm definitely just learning to smoke.. but a long time practicer and lover of cooking... grilling.. and eating! I love to make my own rubs for grilling.. cooking is a hobby of mine.

I love spicy!!!! You can't get too hot for me... and I can't wait to make my own ABT's!

Congrats on the new smoker and the new addiction. There's no gum, there's no patch -- you're stuck with this one! ABT's rock!

What else was in there besides the brisket?

Scott welcome to SMF glad you decided to join us. Congrats on the new smoker and the food looks awesome. If the ABT's prove to mild for you I have seen them made using Habenaros

Hey.. Thanks!

I did 2 spare ribs and 2 turkey tenderloins for the Misses. I didn't really like the tenderloins myself, odd texture.. i meant to buy breast.

I had a grease fire and it basically ruined the ribs (1 set completely, 1 was eatable)... I made a post about it in the propane section... I think the wood chunks burned really hot and got up around the water pan or caught the sides on fire... Maybe I should have soaked the chunks, but a lot of people say they don't.... so I don't know...

Thanks for the kind words everyone...

Scott
