After 2 hours on the rack I am using Apple chips in a can on my gas grill but it works just fine for me.

Welcome to SMF Steve. What part of MA are you from? I'm in Saugus. You'll find this is the absolute friendliest forum on the internet. HUGE amount of knowledge and experience here. Your ribs look great. Keep it up and once again, welcome.

Thanks guys, Hhookk I am from Tewksbury I have been lurking for quite some time and have found tons of usefull info.

I am hoping to build a UDS over the winter for my camp up in New Boston NH. I love using my grill and the old wood chips in the can trick but want to give the whole "real" smoking a try at some point...
