Long time lurker, first time poster...

I have a MES that I love. I purchased it after reading reviews of it in this forum and that's how I found the forum. The amount of smoking knowledge on this forums is amazing. By reading all the tips on here I felt like a master smoker before my first smoke. Of course I came back to reality after my ribs turned out though and my pulled pork had no bark.

After a few more tries I started to get the hang of it. People now request I bring pulled pork to get togethers. I want to thank everyone here for all the great tips that gave me a huge head start with smoking. I can't wait to learn more and more.

    Go Illini!

Sorry, mate - although I have lived near U of IL for almost 20 years now, I bleed black and gold. I'm originally from Eastern Iowa. Old habits die know!

It's all in good fun though, I leave all of that at the door when I'm in this forum. Here, we are all fans of the same team: Awesome Que University [IMG]

Good to meet you - what kinda smoker do you have?

I am about 40 minutes from you. I am in Champaign. I will do my best to not hold being an Iowa fan against you. [IMG]

I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smoker and a Mavrick remote thermometer. So far it seems to be all I need for pretty good que.
