Hey all,

Pretty new to smoking, also new to GA.  My extent of smoking has been to use a kettle charcoal grill, or currently a Brinkman Grill King charcoal grill where I build the fire on one side and place the meat on the other side.  It has turned out some pretty good results. Still looking for my first true "smoker."  I have done several pork loins, about three pork butts, and some baby back ribs.  I have been doing my research, lurking here for a few months, thought I would join and get connected with you all.  Look forward to learning much.  Currently have two butts in the smoker as we speak.  I know...no pictures, no story....LOL.

Welcome aboard.  Good idea you had to hold off on your smoker purchase until you had done your research.

Good luck and good smoking.
