Good afternoon - I'm a new member and have enjoyed what I've read and learned so far. I'm a long time griller with about a year's experience at smoking. I have the Char Griller basic model, Wrangler which I've had for years and purchased the Duo about six months ago. Several times this winter I stood in ankle deep snow on the deck while the smoker was fire up.

I started my smoking with shoulders and ribs with the fire on one side of the grill with pretty good results. After reading a lot of stuff at the SM site and SMF, I've ordered the fire box. It seems I'll not only get better results with a more constant temp, but can increase my cooking capacity with more grill space.

This past weekend I experimented with a couple of chickens using Jeff's method and the results were outstanding. Juiciest chicken to come off my grill ever! I'm a believer.

We live in Lenoir City, TN which is just outside of Knoxville. We're from Alabama and are big time Crimson Tide fans. We have season tickets and go to most of the games every year.
