Hey, just signed up. Been grilling for a while now, but mostly direct heat type.

Haven't done much smoking, but I'm willing to try! I just purchased a Smokenator to convert my Weber into a smoker. It was that or a ECB, but I like being able to do it all in my Weber.

I'm sure next summer I'll start longing to upgrade...and start the process of convincing my wife that I need a new, big toy.

I need to learn quickly so I'll be ready to roll for the start of football season!

Welcome to the SMF my new friend. Congrats one the new Smokenator, hope it works out well for you. It's all good my friend.

Welcome to SMF!! I’m so happy you decided to join us.

That my friend is the curse of this addiction; you start off with what you need and then realize that it isn't big enough for all the stuff you want to smoke. Then the fun really starts when you try to convince the Mrs. that you really do need something bigger.

Enjoy the fourms!

Welcome,
and may this become your healthy addiction.

First off welcome to SMF there von. You'll like this place cause there are alot of good folks here that would just love to help you with just about anything to do with smoking. You first should look up the 5-day E-course thats offered here it's free and very informative and will give you the basics about smoking meat. next you need to grab something to smoke so run go get something. Then you have to learn how to post the Qview(pictures here) that way we can see what your smoking and what your smoking on too. So I think you should start with what we call a fattie their pretty easy and quite the crowd pleaser and it will make you look like you have been doing this for along time too.
So Welcome To The Addiction.

Welcome, Glad to have you with us. This is the place to learn, lots of good info and helpful friendly Members.

For Those of you New to Smoking, be sure to check out Jeff's 5 Day Smoking Basics eCourse.
Click Here it's "FREE"... 5 Day eCourse

Everyone here enjoys seeing the Qview so be sure to post plenty of pics... Large ones that us old people with bad eyes can see.

When you uploading to Photobucket I always use the Large IMG setting, 640 x 480 it is a nice size...

Greetings from the west side of the state. I'm going to bet that after doing some smoking, you will be addicted, you'll definitely start thinking of a bigger smoker. I have a Kingsford offset smoker, just started smoking this year, I'm already dreaming of a Lang :)
