Hello, My name is Brian.  I am still new to smoking, having smoked two whole hogs with a borrowed smoker.  Getting ready to do it again if I can find a smoker to rent in the area.

Any good suggestions on where to find a smoker in the Branson, Springfield missouri area?

Have been stalking for awhile, finally joining the conversation.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a nice cool East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about                                 everything

Might check Craig's List or ask around at some of the rental places

Welcome from South Jersey. This is the place to learn about BBQ. If you have any questions, be sure to fire away. People love to help on this forum. Wow, you are new to smoking and you have already done two whole hogs? I'm jealous. I would love to do a whole pig.

My best advice is to call around to a few butcher shops. I have a couple of really good butcher shops in my area that rent large grills and spits for doing large cookouts and hogs. If they don't have one, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Good luck, and I am looking forward to seeing some Q-View.

Thanks for the information.  I will have to look at the local butchers. I started with whole pigs to celebrate my kids birthdays. A lot of work but worth it.

Well. So far haven't found a good option for renting.  I did find a guy that is willing to let me use his old RF smoker but the FB is all rusted out.  If I don't have a choice, I may have to do some repairs to the fb to get it to work like I need it to.  If I end up using this one, I will start a new thread to ask opinions on the repairs and some possible mods.
