I got hooked on smoking meat by bbally when he cooked for my daughters wedding up on the mountain last summer.
I have a Stumps Smoker (Baby) and learning and Weber kettle.
All the people on the smf have been a great resourse for this newbee.

I saw a post by bbally about a get together on the mountain. This is a great place to go. I will be there.

Thanks for all your help

Mike

Welcome to the forum, Mike. Looking forward to seeing you in August (?). That is if everyone agrees on a date. You couldn't ask for a better mentor than Bob as far as smoking goes. I know first hand that he's one helluva cook!

Welcome to SMF, Mike.

Welcome to SMF Mike, glad to see another Colorado smoker on the board. Here is a question for all you colorado smokers....have you ever used Aspen wood? I ran into a guy that other day that uses it....zero flavor from it...but he said it was a cheap heat source.

Yo Mike in Denver, that is a serious smoker you bought, will undoubtedly turn our awesome Q. You get serious points for choosing bbally as your caterer, his posts are great, I can only imagine how good his Q tastes....

You have gone and done it now! Stumbled into a whole nest of grazed smokers. Next thing you know you will be getting funny looks from your family while you snap pics of the excellent Q you just smoked.
