New Experimental Sausage Ideas

  1. Hello SMF,

    I'm got a question for everyone here. My friend and I are looking to make some funky crazy sausages and I want your help. We literally just got our sausage stuffer and now we are hooked.

    So here it is. If there was 1 main dish you could chop up and put it into a sausage casing, what would it be? Next Sunday we are doing a Pho inspired sausage and a Chilaquiles sausage. What would be yours?

    Shrimp, Basil Pesto, Sundried Tomato, Goat Cheese tossed with Linguine, is a favorite meal. I don't think Pasta in sausage is such a good idea, but the rest would be good. Puree a portion of the shrimp and coarse chop the rest...JJ

    That does sound pretty damn good. The pasta is definitely a struggle we are trying to figure out. I think for now, the creations will be made of main ingredients and then served over or with their typical sides.

  4. I think a lasagna sausage would be fantastic...instead of flat pasta maybe you could use something like orzo instead...

    Might as well make it a pot luck bite,make meat balls out of, Italian, German,Polish,Spanish, etc. etc. as many as you can. Load the balls into the press  Crank um out. Have fun

  7. Ha kind of like a layered cake but with thinly layered levels of each ground meat recipe in the stuffer? A thin layer of each meat mixture would hopefully get 2-3 of each time into each link huh? That could be pretty interesting.
