Got my new GOSM Big Block on Thursday and built it on Friday. I was pi$$ed off about the dent in the door and I an still waiting for Epod2000 to get back to me but if I have to i will take it to work and flatten it on a press. You can see in the picture how the door does not quite close all of the way but it did not seem to effect the temp too much. Bought 12 slabs of ribs on Friday to break it in and just so the smaller GOSM would not get jealous I did some ABTs and pig candy in it. I did 4 different rubs because my spice cabinet is full so the old lady said no more rubs until you use some so I mixed and matched some of the 1/4 full rubs and went from there. I am going to split this up into 2 posts.

Here are the ribs and ABTs. They turned out great according all of the neighbors and the wife.

Congrats on a great smoke and Q View too! You'd be surprised at how much a GOSM can leak and strill get the job done.

Just so everyone knows I got the following email from Epod200 today about my dented door. This Rocks!

Hi Paul,

I am sorry your unit arrived damaged. The parts department is going to send you a replacement door immediately. I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Those ribs look perfect!! ABT's look good, candy looks good, what a way to "break in the big block" any differences besides bigger. How did it smoke??

We have to get together and do some Q!!! Im right next door to ya in NW Indiana, GO BEARS!!

Nice looking smokes. Just think what you can do with a door that has no dents and dont leak. Nice Smoker and I know your happy with the way they took care of your problem. Wish you could get a truck like that.

Thanks for all of the positive comments so far. The 3-2-1 method worked like a charm.

Capt Dan, I don't know if I have to return the other door. I hope not.

Doctor phreak, This is the link where I bought mine from. It was $234 with shipping and it was here in 4 days. Hope this helps.
