New and a bit confused

Hi all,

I'm Mike from New Berlin, Il. I have been cooking outdoors for a while, but I am pretty new to smoking. In the past I tried with a horizontal smoker, and I never could get the hear right, so I recently got a Masterbuilt 40 at Sam's. My first adventure was with a chuck roast, which wasn't quite what I expected. I will be posting some questions on one of the threads soon.
