Anyone know where I can get a cover for my Masterbuilt Electric Smoker 30" that's waterproof/water resistant for outdoor storage? I was one click away from buying this one on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VZZ1W4/?tag=smokingmeatforums-20

But after reading the details it says "indoor use". So after checking reviews they confirm it's more or less a dust cover with no rain protection. Bummer. $22 shipped seemed like a good deal. But with top mounted electronics I need a good cover so that I can store outside. Is there an off the shelf option?

Mike - I bought this one from Lowes:

http://www.lowes.com/pd_361304-47981-42198_0__?storeNumber=1602&Ntt=smoker+cover&selectedLocalStoreBeanArray=[com.lowes.commerce.storelocator.beans.LocatorStoreBean%40306e306e]&pl=1&productId=3462538&ipTrail=155.178.6.11&currentURL=%3FNtt%3Dsmoker%2Bcover

It fits pretty well (MES 30), but I plan on doing a bungy cord around the bottom for the cold weather months.  My smoker is only a few weeks old, so I don't know how this cover will protect for a winter, but at $18, if it last for only one winter, I'll replace it.

I am not at home currently, so I can't check how water-resistent it seems. I'll take a look tonight & let you know.

Mike - It's pouring out (and I'm not far from you, I think).  I stepped out on my deck to see how my cheapie cover is doing in the rain.  It seems to be repelling the water nicely.  I did notice that the water is wanting to pool on the top, which gives me an idea.  I'll put an inverted cheap plastic bowl on the top of the smoker, and then replace the cover.  This should create a dome effect, and eliminate the flat surface on the top.

I'll let you know how it works.
