Need more smoke

Hello i am new here but have smoked for some time with wood. I bought a masterbuilt elite 40" gas
Smoker thinking it would be easer but its not. My problem is i cant get the amount of smoke i want at low temp. I replaced the wood tray with a cast iron skilet and it seemed to help some but only at high temp. Does anyone know what i can do. Thanks

Maybe an A-maze-n pellet smoker or tube smoker would help? I bought one and used it with my last smoke. Made a noticeable difference.

Welcome to SMF. Have you tried but Chips and Chunks? They burn differently depending on smoker temp. Go for the Tube. The maze was not designed to work in a gasser...JJ
