Need help. should i cut one door on my grill or should i cut 2 doors. The grill is 20in dia. 49in long.

WELDS are getting much better.

GOT MY 40# box of RUB today woohooo

I would do two. However, I would cut them different sizes. I like one larger and one smaller.

Two is better than one. Less weight to lower and raise, less area to lose heat, and no loss in functionality (unless you're wanting to stuff a whole hog or something else "big" on there. Dimensions are up to you--what you have marked is probably about what I'd do--maybe just a bit smaller. That's all personal preference/trial and error.

It's looking really nice.

Best of luck.

If you go one door you will probably need counterweights or strong arms. I like the 2 doors different size idea though.

WHaT size stack do i need for this pit. Should i use 1 or 2. I need to know asap i am going for pipe in the morning.

I'd say at least 4"--6" if you can get it. It's easier to close off a pipe that is too big (using your damper) than it is to open one up farther when it is too small.

Hope I didn't find this too late for you.

Thanks i got a 4in I thaink its going to match my smoker.
