Im building a smoker similar to a cookshack sm260. They use 2- 220v 1500w elements. Another brand uses 2-110v 700w element. Any advice on how much wattage I need for 16 cu ft? The hottest i would smoke at would be 275. Hopefully this post will get more attention in this part of the forum.

Thanks

This is the one I have I have a controller on my that I can only let it go to 220* BUT if I buy pass the controller and go stright to the element no problem going to 275* I just like to control mine, you could also get this and a Aubins controller and do the same. I will say my build is a old Fridge build.

Good luck and let us know.

A full smoker is a happy smoker

It's better to have plenty of heat and not need it.. rather than needing more heat and not having it... thinking one 220V, 2500W or so should do it.. lets see what others think...
