hello SMF, My bame is Trevor and i've been reading this fourm for a couple months now and I love it. I was at bass pro last year and saw a small charcoal vertical smoker ( i think you all know which 59.99 one im talking about) on sale and decided to buy it on the spot with a 4 pack of chips (mesquite, apple, cherry, and maple), went to get a pork loin right away and smoked it with maple later that day. Let me say I always loved charcoal but the smoke just took it to the next level. Anyways I was hooked since then and 2 pork loins, 2 chickens, 3 turkeys and alot of pre mad sausages later I finally decided to join this site and share in some of the smoking adventures.

I also got sick of buying prepared sausages and seen so many great tips and ideas here I had to try it. I'm on a small budget so I picked up cuisinart cmg 100c grinder/stuffer (did 3lbs pretty quick) and a foodsaver sealer.Made some fresh (no cure) sausages and sealed them up, will try them later today. I managed to get through almost all the meat and had a rupture at the end which was fine by me because I tied it up and used the scraps to make sausage patty for breakfast and it was great. I also made 3lbs of prime rib burgers and had the boys by for a taste test which turned out good. Theres going to be alot more fresh ground meat made into whatever and stuffed into casings and smoked and its all thanks to you guys/gals for the great ideas and info here. Alright I think thats enough ramling for now, time for a snack :canada-flag-68:

Will post pics soon

Trevor, thank you for joining our little global smoking meat forum!  You will like it here, everyone likes to get along; not that we don't have some lively discussions, but it's all good!  I've been through Brampton, ON, too.. originating from Waterrtown, NY, many times going on 401, crossing over from Alex Bay/1000 Islands Bridge to Toronto and beyond, then back on NYS Thruway up 81 to home.  Luckily, tho, I found the great state of Texas and got out of the snow, lol!

Don't hesitate to ask questions, we're all here to help!  And, you won't know until you ask, either on a post or a PM; feel free any time.  Our purpose is to help you and keep you safe!  Thank you again so much for joining!
