I had a warm day here in Southwest Ohio so I took the new MES 30 GEN II out on the patio to do it's seasoning run. I wanted to create a video showing the differences in the GEN I and GEN II as I was a little confused myself and I hope this may help others. I also added a few comments from my seasoning cook even though it did get dark on me at the end. I made some verbal mistakes (nervous) but had fun correcting myself with captions when I reviewed the video. So don't be too hard on me! :) Remember the main focus of this video was to identify the differences in the GEN I & II, it is not a how to use video or complete review as I plan on follow up videos with my first cook (Boston Butt) and then another when I add the Masterbuilt Cold Smoke Unit. Tell me what you think (be kind) and give me tips as to things I might include in my follow up videos. HAPPY SMOKING!

Good video effort.  Nice to see all the new features of the Gen II.

I'll be curious to see how a AMNPS or external smoke source will do with the Gen II.
I was happy with the output of smoke using the internal chip pan. However I plan on purchasing the Masterbuilt Cold Smoke Generator and will be doing some follow up video work on set-up and smoke output once it arrives. I'll be posting links to any future videos in the forum.

Thank you for the video. Nice to see comparison videos between next gen models. Gives me a good idea what features to look for when I eventually upgrade from the big chief to a digital smoker.

Very Nice!!

You did a real good Job on that Video, Joe.

There's a lot of comparisons between the two, but none done as good as yours.

This should help a lot of people!

Thanks,

Bear
