wudy, evening..... do a side by side check of the two therms... write down what they read and the "real temp"..... make a chart..... Now you have two therms that are "calibrated"... so to speak.... Use a liquid filled candy therm, or a digital meter, or a dependable therm for the standard.... check it in boiling water to verify it's accuracy or lack thereof... be sure to adjust for the temp of boiling water, at your altitude....My dial thermometer is about 50 deg off from my digital. Wish I had a way to calibrate it.
