My son and I took a trip to Augusta Georgia today to pick up a REC TEC pellet grill.  After a 3 hour drive to get there, we were greeted by some extremely friendly people and proceeded to get the deal done for an RT-680, the searing kit and the stainless shelf.  It took less than 10 minutes and they had everything loaded up in my truck and I was ready to go.

Great guys, great at what they do and they have a super efficient operation.  Their customer service is just as good in person as it has been on the phone.  All in all it was a great day, even with spending 6 hours in the truck.  I brought it home, assembled everything, loaded her with pellets and I'm doing the initial burn now.  Took 19 minutes from turning the switch on to reach 400 degrees.  I was pretty impressed.

The fun stuff commences tomorrow, I'll get up early and season it with a couple lbs of bacon and then the fun begins.

Awesome to hear, but I think I will let someone else bring mine up to MN. I have been kicking around the idea of a new smoker and have decided on a Rec-Tec just haven't ordered yet. Hope it works well for you. It is really hard to find a bad review for them.

Congrats on the new Rec Tec Bullitt! Have fun with it, and be sure to show it off with some shots of it in action...and of the the delicious food it's gonna turn out! Thumbs Up
