I went to the store today and found a 9 pound brisket. My son said "oh dad, are you gonna do it like that last one that looked burnt?". So, obviously the stage is set now. I've got the SmokyOkie brisket, 6 or so pounds of country style ribs and maybe a breakfast fatty using blue and gold sausage.

You see, my wife hasn't tried a fatty yet because she isn't a Jimmy Dean fan. The only sausage she likes is the Blue and Gold sausage sold by our FFA kids (future farmers of America). So, the plan is to figure in a breakfast fatty using our last roll of blue and gold sausage. Obviously q-view is to follow. Thanks for taking a peek, Greg

Sounds great, if you have time, get some q-view of the brisket being seared smokieokie style. That is my favorite visual part of the recipe !!!

I've only got a charbroil gas grill but I'll get it as hot as I possibly can then throw that sucker on there and take some pics. I'll post all of it with q-view tomorrow. Thanks, Greg

MossyMo's got it going on!

Did a smokie Okie style last week and it was great!!! Todays was done Ray style...meaning how I usually do a brisket when I am not smoking it...but this time I smoked it (man its getting late...I am not sure that last sentence makes sense...but its been a long hard day and I am tired)

Good luck with the Smokie Okie....Look forward to the Qview!!!

Here's a little q-view of the brisket, seared and on the smoker.

Country style ribs will go on in a while along with the fatty. More pics to come.

Wow, I wrote the thread, gathered the pics and previewed it last night but guess I forgot to post. It was late and I was tired. Here are a few pics of the brisket right before it went into the foil to finish up as well as the country style ribs going on the smoker.
